The last layer in one go

CLL is the end of the road on the 2×2: you build the first layer and solve everything that's left with a single algorithm, no intermediate steps. There are 42 cases — more than Ortega, but every solve drops from two algorithms to one. This isn't learned in one sitting: take one group, make it yours, and come back for the next.

Press the CYCLE button (the little cube icon, next to the Aa letters) so the colors of the drawings and of the 3D cube become those of your own cube. In CLL that's the difference between finding your case in two seconds or in twenty.

i Some cases have alternatives by pressing that same icon (⇄): a different formula that solves exactly the same case. Having more than one in your repertoire is very real — many speedcubers switch between them depending on how their fingers feel on a given solve.
